Weekly Skinny

Let’s start off on the right foot
“Live for each second without hesitation”

The skinny

With the second half of the year underway, we take a few lessons from Elton John following his last live performance ever on how we can recognize open doors of opportunity for ourselves.

Rocket Man

While we’re not all astronauts taking on complex missions, we all feel pressure from our jobs in some form or another. The experience of the fictious astronaut from the song “Rocket Man” encourages us to acknowledge that although the journey might take a “long, long time,” we can face the challenges that come with the changing times ahead of us with courage and determination.

I'm Still Standing

Seize opportunities, big and small, to celebrate your wins and adapt your path from what you’ve learned in the first half of the year. July brings an opportunity to renew our sense of determination and refocus on our growth. As you stand tall, remember that your setbacks don’t define you—how you push forward is what truly matters.

Tiny Dancer

Managing an organization is all about getting everyone in sync—executing the right moves, at the right time, with the right people. Just like in a dance, the overall success of an organization depends on collaboration, creativity, and trust. If you have these key elements in place, how can your employees not jump in and join the rhythm?

Bennie and the Jets

Embracing individuality and authenticity is the baseline culture in the modern workplace. While employees may not be sporting electric boots and mohair suits anymore (well, at least not as often), appreciating diversity and uniqueness can never go out of style. Encouraging a culture where people can be their true, authentic selves' fuels creativity and leads to a more engaged population.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Remember those new year’s resolutions you made 6 months ago? Now’s a great time to reset how it’s going. Let’s be real with ourselves—what’s possible to accomplish in the next 6 months? Maybe it’s a small start: meditating for 5 minutes a day, taking a refreshing walk during your lunch break, actually giving yourself a proper lunch break, or investing in upskilling. The future lies wherever you want it to be, it's all about gaining the confidence to embark on the journey to get there.
