The skinny

AI came in like a wrecking ball in 2023. But the renaissance has only just begun. Going into annual enrollment season, how can you be prepared to embrace it?

In the grindset?

How are you feeling about AE? Is it stressful? Mundane? Are you simply ticking boxes and going through the motions until the end of the year? Urban dictionary defines the grindset as “being in a state of absolute grind.” You’re trying to be everything, everywhere, all at once, and we’re here to tell you, it’s a trap—don’t fall for it.

Reclaim your time

In a congressional hearing, whenever a congress member wants a person who’s currently speaking to stop, they can interrupt them with the phrase “reclaiming my time.” Because they only have a short amount of time to engage with the individual who’s testifying, every moment is valuable. At work, we obviously shouldn’t interrupt our colleagues, but we can interrupt our thought processes.

Streamline

Feeling burned out? It’s not just you. HR has been running on fumes since 2020, keeping up with relentless employee inquiries, and never-ending leadership demands. Amid AE chaos, do yourself a favor. Take steps this year to help save yourself time next year. Whether it’s a manual process, recurring task, problem, or project, think to yourself ‘can AI help me with this?’ Make a list of “to-dos” that AI can potentially help you turn into “to-dones.”

Checks and balances

Data is now officially worth more than gold. Good data, when paired with AI, is going to unlock so many new opportunities, it’s hard to even fathom right now. By taking advantage of AI tools, organizations can improve the quality and relevance of their data. AI tools can help human leaders make decisions based on more accurate and up-to-date information, leading to better results.

Predictions

We can see where this AI train is headed, and we are poised to adapt to all the new changes that will take place over the next few years. Specifically, in the benefits space: optimizing programs, increasing personalization, more efficiency across organizations, expanding DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) and reducing bias, greater accuracy of forecasting, and making employees happier by providing them with the assistance they need.
