Vision 2018 was in the City of Brotherly Love for the first day of presentations, panels, and compliance updates.

We kicked off with an insightful keynote from author and drama researcher expert Cy Wakeman who spoke about how leaders can cut the drama out of their workplaces, end entitlement and drive big results.

Jon Shanahan, CEO and President of Businessolver gave the company update highlighting our growing footprint and dedication to diversity and empathy in the workplace. He also mentioned that our total years of experience grew to over 825 years from 2017 to 2018! Jon

Chief Strategy Officer, Rae Shanahan, took a deep dive into data from our 2018 Workplace Empathy Study which illustrated how empathy is directly tied to revenue and employee retention rates. For example, 90% of employees are more likely to stay with an organization that empathizes with their needs! To quote empathy champion and CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadella, “Most people think empathy is just something you reserve for your life and your family and your friends, but the reality is that it’s an existential priority of a business.” RAE

The day ended with a compliance Fireside Chat with experts Bruce Gillis of Businessolver and Benjamin Conley of Seyfarth Shaw, moderated by Rae Shanahan.
