Last week, we kicked off Horizon 2018 with events in Atlanta and Charlotte. 5T2A8892

As the first two stops in our Horizon 2018 tour, both events saw numerous HR professionals come out to learn all the latest news and updates in the HR/benefits technology realm.

For example, it’s never too early to start preparing for annual enrollment. Hearing from Businessolver thought leaders like Jon and Rae Shanahan, CEO and CSO, and Bruce Gillis, Strategy Practice Leader for Health, Welfare, and Compliance for Businessolver, along with a number of clients, attendees were able to get important insights and a holistic perspective on their benefits strategy.

Here’s a little recap of the events for all those who were unable to attend.

The State of Benefits

Horizon ’18 Tour debuted in style at the historic Estate venue in Atlanta’s Buckhead area. Almost 80 attendees packed the room to hear from multiple presenters including Businessolver’s CEO, Jon Shanahan, who gave an update on recent innovations at the company.

Next up, CSO Rae Shanahan provided a recap of all the latest and greatest product updates, as well as an outlook and product roadmap for what’s coming.

Compliance and Client Updates

With all the changes in rules and regulations surrounding healthcare and benefits, we decided to add a new segment to our presentations — “Compliance Watch 2018” — where our own compliance expert, Bruce Gillis, gives a recap of current laws and regulations impacting our industry.

We rounded out the afternoon with two clients sharing their insights into benefit and HR strategies.  Kent Pritchett, Senior Director Total Rewards and Benefits at RedHat, discussed how his team partners with Businessolver to deliver a differentiated experience for their employees.  Kim McCracken, Talent and Culture, Employee Benefits – Vice President at BBVA, shared her company’s full process for Benefitsolver implementation all the way from the RFP until their first enrollment.

The event ended with a round of shrimp ‘n grits and a tour of all the beautiful artwork and history the venue had to offer!

Teamwork is Key

Next, the Horizon ’18 Tour travelled to Charlotte.  This event had a similar agenda, with attendees gaining insights from a different set of peers. Deana Nilsen, Director HR Programs from Novolex, spoke on teamwork and partnership with Businessolver through their implementation process.  Rick Grooms, CHRO at AnMed Health, shared his team’s insight into employees’ positive feedback on the Benefitsolver technology and configurable platform.  Both speakers really focused on the need to develop trusting partnerships from the onset of the benefits technology buying process throughout configuration, implementation, and ongoing support.

There are more insights and knowledge to be shared. Don’t miss out on our next Horizon events! You can register below for a Horizon 2018 event near you!
