This past weekend Businessolver had the honor of sponsoring an event that helped shed light on and raise money for Iowans impacted by blood cancers. The second annual Blood, Sweat & Beers 5k Run/Walk was held at the Iowa State Fairgrounds and 25 Businessolver employees participated.
Businessolver interns spent the summer at the office learning new skills, working hard, meeting new people and delivering delight to those around them. Somehow, they were able to squeeze in a community service project in the Des Moines area. Read about Team 4's time at Ronald McDonald House of Central Iowa.
Businessolver interns delivered delight all over town this summer as they were tasked with giving back to the community in some way. Team 3 chose to work at St. Mary's Family Center and had a great time helping others.
Businessolver interns have all headed back to school. Even though they're gone, they've left a lasting impression on their coworkers and community by delivering delight in and outside the office.
Businessolver’s interns have been hard at work in and outside of the office this summer! As an intern you are given the opportunity to be part of the Interns Give Back Project, where everyone is divided into teams and tasked to find an organization they’re passionate about and volunteer with them. The next few posts we take a look at what the 2016 interns did to make a difference in our community! Here's a recap of Team 1's experience:
Throughout Quarter 3 this year, Businessolver and its employees are supporting dog rescue and two organizations making a difference in Des Moines and Denver – AHeinz57 Pet Rescue and Freedom Service Dogs. Today’s Solver Story comes from Andrew Foley, Businessolver Client Relationship Specialist. Andrew shares his personal dog rescue story and encourages others to foster dogs as a way to help the community and furry friends.
This past weekend pint-sized athletes from all over the Des Moines Metro tested their limits at the Hy-Vee Pinky Swear Triathlon. Businessolver was eager to jump on board as a 2016 sponsor of this fun and fit event where kids ages 6-18 run, bike, and swim on behalf of children battling cancer.
Last month, Businessolver employees had the opportunity to work on Habitat for Humanity houses in Denver and Des Moines. Everyone who participated agreed that it was time well-spent helping an area family with a hand up, not a hand out.
Businessolver and its employees recently wrapped up Q2 and support efforts for JDRF - an organization shedding light and doing research on Type 1 Diabetes. Businessolver employees in both Denver and Des Moines planned fun events such as a homerun derby, lunch and learns, tie dyeing and a Cinco de Mayo celebration that benefited the organization.
It’s Q3 and that means Businessolver and its employees are supporting a new charity of choice. Employees will be engaging all quarter with two local organizations making a difference in Des Moines and Denver through fun activities, personal stories, and meaningful fundraisers.
