Colfax_Run_2016.jpgThe Businessolver Denver crew was out and running last weekend at the annual Colfax Marathon. This 2 day, 7 race event provides runners several options for competition, all benefiting charity! Businessolver’s Denver racers, Mark Rehberger, Dawn Gries, Jarrod Darden, Jennifer Pike, and Patrick Lahart all ran 10 mile legs in the Marathon Relay benefiting Make-A Wish.

Patrick Lahart, a member of the IT and Helpdesk team was glad he signed up and completed the race:

“The Colfax Marathon had over 13,000 runners participate. That number itself is impressive, but when you understand why everyone was running, you become amazed. The Colfax Marathon is a giant fundraiser for charities. My fellow runners (Mark, Dawn, Jarrod, Jennifer) and I had the opportunity to run for Make-A-Wish. I'm not much of a consistent runner so legging out six miles was rather difficult. There were numerous times where I was ready to quit and be done, but I kept thinking about the same thing, ‘How lucky am I that I'm able to run.’ There are moments in our life where we complain about not having the nicest car, fanciest house, or not enough athleticism. Too often we forget just how lucky we are. Make-A-Wish is an unbelievable organization making dreams come true for those that have no choice on the hand they were dealt.”
